Pricing update, 29 October 2026: this earlier video uses the old $29 Starter price and 14-enrollment break-even. New monthly subscriptions now break even at 10 paid enrollments ($99 on either plan); Pro is cheaper from 11. Use the updated table and calculator below for current pricing.

The enrollment fee changes the comparison.
Checked 30 October 2026: Starter costs $49 per month plus $5 per paid enrollment; Pro Trainer costs $99 per month with no enrollment fee. Annual billing is $44 and $79 per month respectively, billed as $528 and $948 per year before enrollment fees, taxes and processor charges. Check current provider pricing and confirm renewal and checkout totals.
The new Starter prices took effect on 29 October 2026 for new subscriptions, trial users subscribing from that date and customers downgrading to Starter. LearnWorlds says existing Starter subscribers keep their current price while they remain on their plan. The comparison below is for new subscriptions; existing subscribers should use their own bill.
Archived offer terms: October 2026
The recorded cutoff for the October offer is 5 October 2026 at 11:59 PM PDT (6 October, 06:59 UTC). No current discount is assumed in our calculator. Check current pricing and eligibility before paying.
Pro adds subscriptions, memberships, payment plans and certificates. Starter allows 1 admin and 1,000 active learners per month; Pro allows 5 admins and 2,000. Source: current plan comparison.
| Paid enrollments / month | Starter: $49 + $5 each | Pro Trainer |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | $74 | $99 |
| 10 | $99 | $99 |
| 20 | $149 | $99 |
Our calculation: the $50 monthly difference equals 10 enrollment fees. With monthly billing, Pro becomes cheaper on these platform charges alone from 11 paid enrollments. This is arithmetic, not a sales forecast; annual billing has a different break-even point.
Compare your monthly platform bill
Enter expected paid enrollments and the Pro monthly price offered to you. This is cost arithmetic—not a forecast of course sales. Taxes and processor fees are excluded.
Use a whole number from 0 to 10,000 enrollments and a Pro price greater than $0, up to $10,000. Blank or invalid inputs do not produce a comparison.
Starter: $99.00/month · Pro: $99.00/month
The platform charges are equal. Required features may matter more than this difference.
New subscriptions on monthly billing only: Starter $49 plus $5 per paid enrollment; Pro reference $99. Checked 30 October 2026. Existing Starter subscribers may retain their earlier price; this calculator does not model their bill. Confirm your checkout price and renewal terms. Inputs stay in your browser and are not collected.
Use the trial to answer one real question.
LearnWorlds offers a 30-day trial, but its trial school cannot connect payment gateways or a custom domain. It is an evaluation environment, not a free live-selling plan. Trial access is capped at 60 learners and 5 non-learner accounts. See the official trial limits.
- Build a small lesson: use content you own, add a short assessment, and check whether the editing process suits you.
- Review as a learner: check navigation, readability and the mobile experience with someone from your intended audience.
- Map the paid workflow: write down your payment provider, country, currency and required integrations. Ask support about anything the trial cannot demonstrate.
- Check the bill before upgrading: confirm renewal, cancellation, refund terms and whether every must-have feature belongs to your chosen plan—not simply to the trial.
Need questions inside your videos? Check the exact plan.
Checked 25 October 2026: the current pricing table excludes “Interactive video with AI” from Starter and lists Basic for Pro and Advanced for Learning Center. A separate provider video FAQ mentions some interactive-video features on Starter and Pro. These descriptions may refer to different feature scopes. Do not assume Starter supports questions inside a video; confirm your exact requirement for the named paid plan.
Before committing, ask support to demonstrate your required sequence on the exact paid plan: video pauses for a question, an answer resumes playback, and a passing final assessment issues a certificate. Test that sequence with a short lesson of your own. This is a proposed acceptance check, not a workflow we have tested or a claim that every step is available on every plan.
Selling seats to businesses? Check a different workflow.
Starter and Pro Trainer do not include the group/seat-manager roles in LearnWorlds’ role comparison. Learning Center has a combined limit of 10 group, seat and space managers—not 10 learners. Checked 20 September 2026.
Group enrollment is not proof of automated recurring seat billing. The User Groups guide says group enrollment covers courses, not subscription plans or bundles. Before buying, ask for a demonstration of your exact workflow: company checkout, seat allocation, renewals, failed payments and access removal after cancellation. We have not tested that workflow; do not choose either plan in our cost table on that assumption.
Our decision rule
Start with Starter if you are validating one-time course sales, expect low enrollment volume and can work within its feature limits. A lower fixed bill preserves room to learn whether buyers actually want your course.
Consider Pro if subscriptions or certificates are essential, or your realistic monthly enrollment volume makes the extra fee uneconomical. Do not pay annually just to lower the displayed monthly price before you have tested the workflow.
Wait before buying either if you have no defined learner, course outline or acquisition plan. Choosing software does not create demand. Confirm local payment availability before depending on it for a launch.
