LearnWorlds Starter vs Pro Trainer

Choose around your selling model and enrollment costs—not a promise of future course sales.

The enrollment fee changes the comparison.

Starter is $29 monthly plus $5 per paid enrollment; Pro Trainer is $99 monthly with no enrollment fee. Annual billing shows $24 and $79 per month respectively ($288 and $948 per year). Prices exclude VAT; payment-processor charges are separate.

Pro adds subscriptions, memberships, payment plans and certificates. Starter allows 1 admin and 1,000 active learners per month; Pro allows 5 admins and 2,000. Source: current plan comparison.

Paid enrollments / monthStarter: $29 + $5 eachPro Trainer
5$54$99
14$99$99
20$129$99

Our calculation: the $70 monthly difference equals 14 enrollment fees. With monthly billing, Pro becomes cheaper on these platform charges alone from 15 paid enrollments. This is arithmetic, not a sales forecast; annual billing has a different break-even point.

Use the trial to answer one real question.

LearnWorlds offers a 30-day trial, but its trial school cannot connect payment gateways or a custom domain. It is an evaluation environment, not a free live-selling plan. Trial access is capped at 60 learners and 5 non-learner accounts. See the official trial limits.

  1. Build a small lesson: use content you own, add a short assessment, and check whether the editing process suits you.
  2. Review as a learner: check navigation, readability and the mobile experience with someone from your intended audience.
  3. Map the paid workflow: write down your payment provider, country, currency and required integrations. Ask support about anything the trial cannot demonstrate.
  4. Check the bill before upgrading: confirm renewal, cancellation, refund terms and whether every must-have feature belongs to your chosen plan—not simply to the trial.

Need questions inside your videos? Check the exact plan.

LearnWorlds says Starter and Pro include some interactive-video features, while the full Interactive Video Editor starts with Learning Center. Do not assume that a feature shown in a demo or trial belongs to either plan in our cost table. Source: official interactive-video FAQ, checked 9 September 2026.

Before committing, ask support to demonstrate your required sequence on the exact paid plan: video pauses for a question, an answer resumes playback, and a passing final assessment issues a certificate. Test that sequence with a short lesson of your own. This is a proposed acceptance check, not a workflow we have tested or a claim that every step is available on every plan.

Our decision rule

Start with Starter if you are validating one-time course sales, expect low enrollment volume and can work within its feature limits. A lower fixed bill preserves room to learn whether buyers actually want your course.

Consider Pro if subscriptions or certificates are essential, or your realistic monthly enrollment volume makes the extra fee uneconomical. Do not pay annually just to lower the displayed monthly price before you have tested the workflow.

Wait before buying either if you have no defined learner, course outline or acquisition plan. Choosing software does not create demand. Confirm local payment availability before depending on it for a launch.
